BA/BS in Information Technology or similar field is required. The candidate should be highly skilled with database design, analysis, development, administration and support of the MS SQL 2000/2005/2008 platforms in production, QA and development environments. Candidate must posses the ability to multitask and manage multiple small to large issues in a cross-functional fast paced environment, have strong team and interpersonal skills at all management and subordinate levels. Candidate must be comfortable working in a team environment and possess strong sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments. Must be a self starter and possess the ability to work independently. Must be proactive, analytical, and process driven, with a strong focus on understanding and exceeding the expectations of the company staff and objectives. IT
Responsibilities:
Required
• At least 5-7 years of experience in diverse fields of Information Technology including database design, development, and administration
• Over 5-7 years of MS SQL Server development and Database Administration experience with an emphasis on design, development, enhancement, automation, tuning, and optimizing databases for high availability, performance and security
• Experience in the database design, analysis, development, administration and support of MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 in Production, QA, and Development environments
• Expertise in MS SQL Server (installation, configuration, and maintenance)
• Experience in supporting mission critical applications including Logical and Physical Database Design, Development, Performance Tuning, and Change Management
• Possess strong skills in Operating System Support and Administration, OS installation and configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience in analyzing the functional flow of the Projects and Lead the team in database designing and maintenance
• Proficient at reviewing Project Requests and describe database development requirements including estimates of time and cost to accomplish projects
• Extensive knowledge of migrating databases residing on servers in one data center to another and upgrading database platforms to newer versions
Desired
• Experience in managing AS/400 DB2 databases
• Solid administration/management of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008 server
• Solid administration of Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience in the implementation and use of Data Mining tools (e.g. SAS, Cognos, DataMind, etc…)
